This is a blog site dedicated to sharing the impact that Elijah Buchanan was determined to have on the world. He wanted people everywhere to live their lives on purpose to the glory of God. The postings will certainly not always be about Elijah, but his recent death on November 29, 2014 is a fresh reminder that we can’t take anything for granted in this life. We are especially grateful for this family picture taken only four months before he died. We noticed how his arms surrounded all of us even then.
I am Elijah’s father. My name is Ken Buchanan, and I am also father to 4 other wonderful children (Tina, Brittany, Briana and Isaiah). My wife Melanie and I have been married for three and a half decades. I am a healthcare consultant by profession, which includes speaking, training and writing.
My goal is to provide fresh, insightful content that will encourage you, comfort you, and perhaps inspire you. I will occasionally reference passages from the Bible, or offer links to other helpful resources. The pictures I include are either from my own camera or from our family log of photos. I will typically post daily to this site, and I will attempt to provide enough variety of subject matter to keep you interested.
If you will subscribe to this site, we will send you occasional email content from our site that we believe you will find helpful and encouraging. We hope that you will find enough value at divinefingerprints.net to be willing to share the site with your friends and families. We may introduce some advertising to the site to help cover costs, but we will seek to avoid distractions from the messages and the objectives of the site.
I am authoring a book about the Fingerprints of God and the impact of Elijah’s life and death. I will from time to time post information on this site updating you on the status of the book and its availability.
Ultimately I and my family want you to know how much we appreciate the support and encouragement that we have received from so many of you. Thank you for being a part of our lives. And thank you for sharing the impact that Elijah wanted for the world as we all draw our attention heavenward!
-Ken Buchanan

Enjoyed this post! My sister and brother on law, Donna and James lost their son Joshua at 18 in a Marine Corps accident. I thought you might be interested in reading his story at http://www.joshua19foundation.org. Have a blessed day and praying both of these boys continue to build His kingdom. Diana
